This is a gathering place for Dobyns Bennett High School Class of 1960... We continue to gather once a month at O'Charley's Restaurant on Eastman Road Kingsport Tn, around 20 or more each month. It is really neat that after all these years, we continue to build on our friendships and love to gather together! If you graduated with us, a year or two before us or after us, we would love to see you! I'm sure we would have a lot to talk about! Please consider joining us for First Friday!!

Eddie Burchfield, a Treasure to the Treasure Coast

I'm so glad I found this site... I "googled" Eddie Burchfield, and there it was... a TRIBUTE to our
Eddie, on WPSL radio station site. It gives me shivers. This is a guy who didn't get back for very
many of our reunions, but always seemed to try! I'm sorry we didn't know about his illness soon
enough to send cards and letters of support. I would like to send a card, and I'll bring one to our First Friday July 3rd lunch. And wait till you see the two pictures! God bless us everyone! BC

  1. I just happed to come across this DBHS blog and wanted to drop a quick line to let you know how much my father, Ed Burchfield, enjoyed his high school days. I am sorry that you did not know about Dad's illness sooner, but he was a private man. I would like you to know how much Dad loved Tennessee and had planned to return there once he retired. I believe his wife planned to scatter his ashes in one of the rivers so he will forever be home in his beloved Tennessee. I hope that you have a wonderful 50th Reunion and I do have some pictures if you would like them sent to you for the reunion. Just let me know.

Tommy diagnosed with brain tumor Jan/2008 and died Nov/2008. Now learning to live one day at a time! B
